Strategic Planning: Develop and implement strategic procurement plans aligned with the organization's objectives and budgetary constraints.
Team Leadership: Provide leadership and guidance to the procurement team, including goal setting, performance evaluation, and professional development.
Supplier Management: Oversee supplier selection, negotiation, and relationship management to ensure the availability of quality goods and services at competitive prices.
Contract Management: Lead contract negotiations, review, and administration to mitigate risks, ensure compliance, and optimize terms and conditions.
Process Improvement: Continuously evaluate and improve procurement processes, policies, and procedures to enhance efficiency, reduce costs, and streamline operations.
Budget Management: Collaborate with finance and other stakeholders to develop and monitor procurement budgets, tracking expenditures and identifying cost-saving opportunities.
Risk Mitigation: Identify and mitigate procurement-related risks, such as supply chain disruptions, quality issues, or regulatory compliance concerns.
Vendor Performance Evaluation: Establish and monitor key performance indicators (KPIs) to assess supplier performance and drive improvements in quality, delivery, and service levels.
Compliance: Ensure procurement activities comply with relevant laws, regulations, and organizational policies, maintaining integrity and ethical standards throughout the procurement process.
Stakeholder Engagement: Collaborate with internal stakeholders across departments, including operations, finance, and legal, to understand their procurement needs and priorities, and to foster effective
Qualifications:
Degree in Business Management or equivalent. CIPS certification will be an advantage.
8+ years of experience in a procurement role and 2 + years’ experience in a supervisory role
