Developing Quality Standards: Establish and maintain quality standards, policies, and procedures for procurement processes and activities.
Auditing and Inspection: Conduct regular audits and inspections of procurement documentation, processes, and vendor performance to ensure compliance with quality standards and regulatory requirements.
Vendor Qualification: Evaluate and qualify vendors and suppliers based on quality criteria, including product quality, reliability, and compliance with specifications.
Quality Control: Monitor and enforce quality control measures throughout the procurement lifecycle, including requisition, sourcing, purchasing, and contract management.
Documentation Management: Maintain accurate and comprehensive documentation of procurement activities, including contracts, purchase orders, specifications, and quality records.
Non-Conformance Management: Investigate and address non-conformance issues, including supplier defects, delivery delays, and quality discrepancies, through root cause analysis and corrective action plans.
Continuous Improvement: Identify opportunities for process improvement and efficiency enhancement within the procurement function, implementing best practices and driving continuous improvement initiatives.
Training and Education: Provide training and guidance to procurement staff on quality assurance procedures, requirements, and best practices to ensure understanding and compliance.
Risk Management: Assess and mitigate quality-related risks associated with procurement activities, such as supplier reliability, product quality, and regulatory compliance.
Stakeholder Communication: Collaborate with internal stakeholders, including procurement, operations, and quality assurance teams, to communicate quality requirements, address issues, and ensure alignment of objectives.
Qualifications:
Degree in Business Management or equivalent. CIPS certification will be an advantage.
5-7 years of experience in a procurement role with emphasis on processes and compliance
